Located a few miles from the Grassy Knoll, is the American Airlines Center. Its Mark Cuban's home away from home. There is nothing like the atmosphere of an NBA game. The NBA vibe is loud, but intimate. Fans are in a frenzy. To add to the hype, the Mavericks were riding a 12 game winning streak. It was truly amazing. The seats we had were on the bottom level which made the game more entertaining. Jason Terry popped the go ahead jumper with 5 seconds left. The video I took does it more justice than the pictures on this page.
We took the Cowboy Stadium Tour on December 9th. The stadium was nothing short of spectacular. The price tag is currently well over a billion dollars. Two benefits of the tour are the locker room and the field. It was an enjoyable experience to visit the Cowboy locker room and to take pictures on the Dallas star. Cowboy Stadium will be the site of the next Super Bowl in 2011.
Going to an NFL game is something to behold. Parking at the stadium is around $100, so took a bus. I remember waiting in line to go into the stadium. It was freezing! Weather reports recorded temperatures in the 20s on that day and there was also a breeze that made things even colder. 80,000 in the stadium and the game was a sell out. I drank Miller Lite, as that was the only beer they sold there. A beer was $8.50, I drank two. The Philadelphia Eagles won the game and I got to see Michael Vick entertain the fans.
