After some light shopping in the morning, I was still tired from the night before, so I had to take a nap. My dad and I were going to the 3rd game of the set. We wanted to drink a little at a bar before going into the park, we felt this would save us some money. But the bars were parked on this Saturday, so we just went into the park.
Pitching today was Eduardo Rodriguez vs. CC Sabathia. I haven't followed baseball for a while and didn't know CC Sabathia still played. I remember pulling his rookie card from a pack of Bowman’s Best in 1999. That means he’s been playing professional baseball for at least 20 years that doesn't include the minor leagues.
Our seats were awesome and expensive. Big thanks to mom for buying it for us. Our seats were in the grandstand area bottom level a little to the left of home plate. After finding seats I went to get beer. It took me some time to find a stand that served Budweiser, my dad only drinks Budweiser. To do this I had to go near a beer stand and look into the refrigerator, after I saw a Budweiser I got in line. I waited about 10 minutes to buy beer. I bought a Sam Adams 76 on tap. The taste is light and refreshing, it reminds me of a bikini blonde, but more clean. We sat by all Yankee fans. I was like shit. But they were very respectful throughout the game.
It was a pitcher's duel early. The bats started going in the 4th inning which you would expect after they saw CC one time. I went in line again to buy a beer. Another 10 minutes in line. There is no sense of urgency from the cashiers in line, but one thing I’ve observed is that Bostonians are very helpful in the sense of being American. Americans have this reputation of being friendly and you see that in Bostonians. I bought a special brew 617 which I figure was named after the area code of Massachusetts, I was right. The brew is called title town and I assume it was created after the Red Sox won the World Series last year. On the can it has the 4 major sports teams in Boston. They've all won championships within the last 10 years giving Boston the title town name.
