Disney California Adventure Park
We woke up early in the morning and got on the shuttle to the Disney parks again. This time it was Disney California Adventure Park. The location of the adventure park is adjacent to the main park. California Adventure is suited more for older kids. The main attraction is Screamin’ California, a high speed roller coaster. The roller coaster was out of commission on this day, but the kids were too short to ride it anyway. The other main attraction is Soarin’ California. First of all, there was no waiting time, none, which was amazing. I heard that during the summer the waiting time for Soarin’ California can take up to 2 hours. Crazy! This ride simulates a hang glider while you fly over California. You see all the great sites California has to offer: like the Golden Gate Bridge, Hollywood Hills, Disneyland, Yosemite, etc. We started to walk around the park going on ride after ride with no waiting time. We had a blast! Just like yesterday, when we got tired, we took the shuttle back to the hotel and took a short nap.
The Happiest Place on Earth
Day number 2 took us to Disneyland Park. I’ve been to the Disney attractions many times so I knew the first ride would be, It’s a Small World. Everyone has heard the song. The ride is a constant reminder of the song. The characters from all over the world sing the song in their native language. From that moment the day was an amazing experience. Malia was able to visit her Disney princesses. We were able to go from ride to ride with no line wait. We ate great food at the park. At about 2 o’clock we took the shuttle back to the hotel to take a nap. A strategy that was so important for rest and recovery.
Experiences to remember at the park

First roller coaster ride – Gadget’s Go Coaster.

When we woke up, it was back to the park to enjoy the parade and firework show. The parade was memorable as Disney characters walked down and around Main Street. The firework show was over the top, but not too exciting because it went on forever and became boring.
No rest for the weary. As soon as we landed, we got the rental car and off we went to Universal Studios. Located near Hollywood, Universal Studios is where they make the magic happen. With that being said, Universal Studios was nothing too exciting. The Universal Studios in Orlando is much better. The best ride I enjoyed was the studio tour. The tour went on what seemed like forever. We rode on this tram and were entertained by King Kong and Earthquake, along the way we saw movie sets from movies & TV shows like Psycho, War of the Worlds, Leave it to Beaver, and Desperate Housewives.
