Mau'u'aki'aki - I saw this on Maui, I knew it was native, but not sure the name.

Background Information

Mau'u'aki'aki is in the sedge family. It looks like a sedge or grass. There is one endemic and 2 indigenous species. There is no known ancient uses for this plant.

The scientific name is Fimbristylis cymosa. I saw it in Maui on the beach.
