Makai

In Hawaiian, makai means heading towards the ocean. Most ocean hikes start from a road and you head along the coast. In this section I have native plants that grow on the coast or near the ocean.

This section has less native plants than the mauka section because of disturbance in the area by a variety of things which include invasive species and human activity.

Most of these plants will be from Oahu, but I have a few from the outer islands.
