Māmane
Endemic tree native to Hawaii. I've never seen this tree on Oahu, but apparently it grows on Oahu. Māmane is seen most on Maui and the Big Island.

Background Information
Scientific Name: Sophora chrysophylla
Endemic to Hawaii and endangered, but restorations of the tree have been made.
Ancient uses: Ancient Hawaiians used the trunk to make sleds for the sport hōlua. The wood was also used for building houses. The pretty yellow flowers were used to make lei's. Hawaiians were also able to create an astringent with the Māmane plant to help with cuts or abrasions.
Modern uses: Ornamental, Restoration.
