Ōpuhe

Ōpuhe

Similiar to Olona and Mamaki, Ōpuhe doesn't stand out and looks like any other plant. Although it is secure, it is not common on many hiking trails on Oahu.

Background Information

The easiest way to tell this plant apart is its prominent veins under the leaf. The Hawaiians used the plant for its strong fibers.
