- Species: tamiameiae
- Indigenous, confused with introduced Australian Tea plant that looks like pukiawe
- Ancient uses: Berries eaten by Nene goose, wood used for kapa anvils, modify mana in a person in most cases reduce it.

- Leaves: Small, oval like needle leaves
