Mauka

Mauka in Hawaiian means towards the mountain. As you hike on Oahu, you usually head up towards the summit, along the way are both native and non native plants. This section of the website will list many native plants you see along the trail heading towards the summit and along the summit.

Most of the plants listed will be from Oahu trails, although there maybe some outer island plants listed as well.
