Appearance
- Fern: Found in dry forest, upper portions
- Height: No more than 3 feet, although the one's in Makaha valley are big
- Leaves: Spindle shape, unlobed, on an unbranched stalk, not more than 2 inches wide
- Can grow out of rocks and in this case a tree
